Anatomy of a product page that converts

Nusyce team 3 May 2026 5 min read

On mobile, a product page has two screens to convince. What sits below is read by a minority of visitors, and almost never by the ones who are hesitating.

The six elements of the first screen

A photo showing the object in use, the exact name, the price with no surprises, availability, the accepted payment methods and the buy button. Nothing else. Every extra element pushes the button off the screen, and a button off the screen is not clicked.

Give the whole price

The leading cause of abandonment is still an amount that grows during checkout. Show delivery fees on the product page, even approximately, rather than revealing them at the second-to-last step. A customer who discovers the real cost late does not come back.

An objection left unanswered on the product page becomes an abandoned cart three screens later.

The second screen answers objections

Dimensions, material, delivery time, returns policy, warranty. These are answers, not descriptions. Write them as if you were replying to a customer on the phone, because that is exactly what you are doing.

What can wait

Customer reviews, similar products and the brand story have their place, but further down. They reassure someone already interested; they clutter the view of someone still hesitating.

How to check

Open your product page on an entry-level phone, on a slow network, while logged out. That is the real situation of most of your visitors, and it is the only test that counts.
